Hello all,

To echo Gail's comments, "congrats"!

I have requested the new AuthZEN WG mail list and am hopeful we'll have that set-up by end of today. To assist the new WG in transitioning to the new mail list, Mike Jones and I (as well as Gail and Marie Jordan (Secretary)) will be the initial admins. Once the WG co-chairs are confirmed, I'll add them as admins as well.

As Gail mentioned below, a blog announcing the new WG is the next step. I'll then promote on our social channels. I'll also send a message to the Policy Charter mail list pointing to the blog and next steps including IPR/Contribution Agreement requirements. I'll have the AuthZEN WG web pages drafted by end of today so we can add content as it becomes available. Once we have content for the landing page, "Overview", and "Chater" page (I have what I need for this), we'll publish so that we can start to point people here. I also want to reconfirm with Gerry and Allan that the current Policy Charter call time will be the new AuthZEN call time to get started. If so, I'll update the Zoom session and the OIDF calendar accordingly.

Congrats all!



Mike Jones confirmed to me and Mike L that the AuthZEN Working Group is confirmed. There are no further objections outstanding by the Specs council.



To make the new WG public announcement, we need the materials ready to direct interested parties on what the WG is about and how to participate. That means blog post copy, tweet copy, website copy, dates for regular cadence of meetings, email list set-up. You might also want working documentation channels underway too (e.g. GitHub, slack informal channel) to be set-up. Of course, as George said, participants will also need to make sure their contribution agreements are updated to cover the new WG.



That will ensure we can direct people to the right information to take part.



Mike L will revert in the morning EST with more details.  As per his note, he spoke with several members of the AuthZEN discussion group during IIW about the next steps.

It was great to see you in person last week at the OIDF workshop, and later at IIW.



You mentioned that the specs council will provide any additional feedback on the AuthZEN charter by Saturday Oct 14. To follow up on this, can we assume that AuthZEN is now a formal OIDF WG?
