user experience discussions?

My alma matter, Carnegie Mellon, has some researchers working on this
topic... I might be able to ping them to find out what the current
status of such work is.
Randomly I found this:

But mostly they haven't seemed to work too much on UX issues so much
as protocol stuff. I'm sure there are academic resources, we just need
to do a bit of digging. And then adding such things to the wiki.
