I included in the FAQ that I intend to submit this as a Working Group if the community thinks that would be a useful thing to do.<div><br></div><div>From an IPR perspective the OpenID Foundation's policy is arcane at this point and I'd rather see us just adopt the Open Web Foundation's policy. I think you can look at Facebook's track record around participating though; we've signed an Open Web Foundation agreement for OAuth WRAP, are participating under the IETF's IPR policy for OAuth 2.0, and released the Open Graph Protocol under the Open Web Foundation agreement from day one.<div>
<br></div><div>Some of the Googlers have provided feedback and contributed ideas to this proposal over the past few days. I don't know if they had a chance to do a really deep dive considering it's existed for under a week. In general we plan to combine efforts at IIW.</div>

<div><br></div><div>The biggest problem i see with Open ID is "leadership". Let me explain this. And this is my personal opinion, so there is nothing wrong if you think i am entirely wrong.</div><div><br></div>
<div>
Before I heard of OpenID i heard of other "Open" stuff like</div><div>Linux - Linus Torvalds</div><div>jQuery - John Resig etc etc</div><div><br></div><div>OpenId has no equivalent figure. There is no one to lead and guide the "Identity" community. And that is why I think the Identity community is at such a loss today. In spite of your IIW etc etc. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I honestly think the "Identity" problem could have been solved if we had a single strong leader respected by everyone. Until then we will have the suffer the jokes perpetuated on us by all the jokers.</div>
