The Research and Education working group charter was approved by the specifications council and so the working group now exists.  Congratulations!  The proposers should organize an initial working group call or meeting at which chairs and possibly initial editors for documents will be selected.

This could happen in person with a call-in option during the October 22nd OpenID Workshop announced at https://openid.net/2018/09/07/registration-open-for-openid-foundation-workshop-at-vmware-on-monday-october-22-2018/ or it could be a conference call.  At a minimum, hopefully a representative of the working group can be present to give an overview of the new working group.  Having a session at IIW on the working group would be a great thing too.

Please announce the initial working group meeting on the specs at openid.net list.
