you really keep baffling me. Why in the world is it necessary to say this:

It's an insult, for absolutely no good reason. What about saying "I think it would be money well spent" or something along these lines?

But you keep doing this kind of thing. Why? What are you trying to accomplish with a remark like that, that couldn't be accomplished much, much better, with a polite version?
