Hi,
I take a look at the ISO639 page to get language codes, but it seems
obsolete (http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/IG/ert/iso639.htm).
ISO639-2 replace it :
http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/
RFC 4646 is a good candidate too:
http://www.w3.org/International/questions/qa-lang-2or3.en.php
http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc4646.txt
I think you should update this for the sreg extension 1.1's next draft.
