This sounds like you are conflating attributes of the person(a) with  
attributes of a browser session. What if I use two browsers at the  
same time, and I want to only log out from one? (because I'm leaving  
my desktop, say, and continue to work on my laptop?)

Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?
