Feel free to contact Tom Clancy tclancy at mitre.org<mailto:tclancy at mitre.org> directly. Tom’s longstanding interest and expertise at the intersection of government security and identity management will hep structure a useful briefing.

MITRE<https://www.mitre.org/who-we-are> was established to advance national security in new ways and serve the public interest as an independent adviser. We continue to deliver on that promise every day, applying our systems-thinking approach to provide solutions that enhance our national security and way of life.

Hi Atul, Tim, Annabelle

This opportunity just came to Don from MITRE for SSE. (Thanks for suggesting it to them Don!)

This looks very intriguing as another opportunity to engage a wider community on SSE, particularly amongst the other parts of the community not yet engaged in SSE spec development and adoption (the main concern of Grant Dasher @CISA). This would build on the IDSA brief earlier in the month.

What do you think? Do you like the idea of the 10/28 12-130pm roundtable offer? Shall we arrange a call with MITRE first to discuss how we can best structure the round table, and get the materials kick started?

Gail

This is another opportunity you may be interested in. You may want to consult with the work group co chairs.

LMK how you want to proceed

Don, I hope you are well. Where did the summer go?

At Identiverse you suggested an update on the Shared Signals and Events WG to MITRE.
Would October 27, 2022, at 3pm Eastern be a good time to shoot for? The format is 90 minutes via Teams. If there is interest, we could also investigate hosting a hybrid event from MITRE McLean if presenter(s) are local.

The forum is the standing MITRE ICAM Roundtable. As we often do for cross-cutting topics and great speakers, we would likely extend the invitation to MITRE Zero Trust and Cloud Security colleagues. Together, we’ve been helping government sponsors with their Cybersecurity EO 14028 efforts toward Zero Trust Architecture. Internally, there has been a lot of great collaboration around how IdPs and PDP/PEPs work together with other cybersecurity tools in an orchestrated manner to protect sensitive resources.

You may have had a potential presenter in mind to start coordination for that date or an alternate.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Tom
