Dean,
Many thanks for your service as Co-chair!
You have helped make IPSIE a reality and shape the trajectory of this important work. We appreciate your continued engagement in the IPSIE spec development… as well as your continued leadership of the DADE CG!
Dick,
So pleased to hear you have volunteered to step up and partner with Aaron. I hope to hear that the WG confirms the appointment shortly.
Best,
Gail

Hi all,
As Aaron noted, I am stepping down as co-chair of IPSIE effective immediately.
In September I took on a new role with Remitly with the intention of continuing as an IPSIE co-chair. Over the first 6 weeks in the new role it became clear to me that the job was both larger and more complex than I had assumed. During this period, I have not been able to give IPSIE WG the time and attention that I should as a co-chair.
Initially, I thought my inability to engage would be temporary, but it has become clear that I won’t be able to do my day job, manage two co-chair roles with OIDF (DADE CG & IPSIE WG), and have a reasonable work/life balance. With the DADE CG working toward chartering a DADE WG in 2026, I decided that stepping away from the co-chair role in IPSIE WG was the only viable path forward to allow me to execute on my day job and provide the necessary time and energy to continue my work on DADE. I knew IPSIE WG was in good hands with Aaron’s leadership and I’m happy to see Dick step up to take a leadership role in the WG.
As I step away from this role, I am not stepping away from IPSIE WG completely. I’m committed to completing the common requirements document for IPSIE and seeing it through to publication. However, I will be attending WG calls less frequently due to conflicts with my day job.
Thank you Aaron for your partnership in IPSIE over the past year. It’s been a pleasure to work with you and learn from you. And thank you to all of the IPSIE WG members who I have had the pleasure to work with over the past year. This is especially true for the people who are engaging with the standards development community for the first time. I’m glad you’re here and I hope you continue to engage to shape the future of identity standards for enterprises. Keep up the good work!
Dick, I wish you the best of luck as you ascend into this new role.
As always, if you need anything from me, please don't hesitate to reach out via email or Slack.
Respectfully,
-dhs

Hi all,
First I want to thank Dean for having co-chaired the IPSIE working group with me for the past year. It's been great working with him and you all. Unfortunately, he has told me that he has to step down as co-chair of IPSIE as he transitions to a new role, but I will let him expand on the details instead of putting words into his mouth.
I'm also excited to say that Dick has confirmed that he is willing to step up as co-chair to continue the work we are doing.
As per OIDF process, any changes of working group chairs need to be confirmed by the working group, so feel free to respond to this email or reply to me privately with support or concerns, and we will discuss on our next call on Tuesday!
Talk to you then!
Aaron
