[Openid-specs-ipsie] Ephemeral Identities in IPSIE

Issue 54 <https://github.com/openid/ipsie/issues/54>, “Ephemeral Identities
in IPSIE” has been open since February without any activity.  Recently I
discovered that ephemeral identities are also discussed in NIST SP800-63C
rev4 DRAFT, which led to a discussion on the June 17, 2025 IPSIE call
regarding IPSIE and ephemeral identities.

As of today’s call, we have decided to defer any further work on ephemeral
identities in IPSIE to ensure we do not block the development of the SL1
profiles. The co-chairs (Aaron and I) will raise this issue for discussion
again at a later date with the intention of discovering whether this is an
enterprise related issue for IPSIE, or a broader issue which might be
addressed by the AB Connect WG.

In the meantime, if you have any thoughts on ephemeral identities that
you’d like to capture, I invite you to leave feedback on the issue
