In addition to the Clinical Research Data Networks (CDRNs) that are
under discussion in our current use case, PCORi also has sponsored
Patient-Powered Research Networks (PPRNs). These comprise patients
and/or caregivers who play an active role in patient-centered
comparative effectiveness research. This is analogous to closed
social network groups, where the participants are actively
communication with each other, sometimes with their actual
identities. <br>
