<p class="MsoNormal">I’m not sure if anyone else is monitoring this but the HIMSS Identity Management Task Force has a special committee working to “develop guidance as to how to designate a proxy or delegate and give the delegate access to the patient’s PHI
with the same level of confidence”.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This group met last week to document a set of proxy use cases that describe the multiple patient-to-proxy relationships that exist in HC. (spouse-spouse, parent-child, adult child-parent/grandparent, etc.)<o:p></o:p></p>
