Patient Vignette 2: Alice, age 36
Alice, a veteran, makes use of emerging capabilities supported by FHIR
(Fast Health Information Resources) standards and User Managed Access (UMA)
to control her preferences for information sharing. Privacy on FHIR enables
patient controlled privacy using emerging technology. Patients will be able
to create consents, authorizations and restrictions for the sharing of
their healthcare information using natural language interfaces. They will
be able to manage sharing among providers. They will also be able get
information from their health records directly into their Apps and send
information from their Apps to their providers or elsewhere. This
demonstration answers real-world questions about sharing of privacy
protected information such as: How can you share only what you want? How
can you keep your sensitive information secure? How can you manage your
privacy choices for all your Doctors and mobile Apps 24/7?  How can you
finally take charge of your health, and wellness? The cutting edge
technology and standards demonstrated here can transform your use of your
own health information.


Are there other API /patient mediated/ patient centered REST based demos
that this list should be aware of - SMART API etc - of?  if so please post
to list.
