I suppose it would be a good idea to blog about the first meeting of HEART WG @ openid.net<http://openid.net>.

BTW, is there any plan for F2F?

The Security Implementation Guide will eventually be incorporated in the HL7 balloting process, but for this project will be developed in parallel to accompany the FHIR Data Query and Document Query Profiles and Implementation Guides

Hello Everyone,

The HEART WG site is finally in operation and our mail list server is actively running at http://lists.openid.net/mailman/listinfo/openid-specs-heart. If you have not already done so, please take the time to register. We would prefer to use that list as the primary source of communication.

Given the slowness and distractions of the holiday season, we have decided to move the initial meeting from January 5th to **UPDATE*** Monday January 12th.

As noted on the site, anyone can join the mailing list as a read-only recipient and attend the meetings but posting to the mailing list and/or actively contributing to the specification will require the submission of an IPR Agreement. Thanks to those of you that have completed that process. I know there are others that have the approvals in the works.

We very much welcome and encourage the active participation of both technical and policy subject matter experts to the group. The initial work will focus on identifying/scoping/framing relevant use cases rather than delving into the technical details. Do not worry if you are not familiar with the protocols. I am certain our collective understanding will change as the conversation and work evolves.

We look forward to getting things started and hope to *see* most of you there on the 12th!

Best Regards

Eve Maler and Debbie Bucci
