Per the calendar at http://openid.net/wg/fastfed/, the next call is 5pm Pacific Time next Tuesday the 28th. That’s during evening at IETF. Are we still planning on having that call then? If not, when is the next call?

Did we decide on a time slot for this meeting? Do we have one tomorrow morning?
Cheers,
Morteza

I’m not keen on running alternative time slots. I worry it will break the WG into two different groups.
We have participation from around the globe. A 5::00PM PST call is 1:00AM UTC which is:
10:00PM UTC-3 Chile (John Bradley / Ping)
8:00PM UTC-5 US East Coast
5:00PM UTC-8 US West Coast (most participants)
10:00AM UTC+9 Japan (Nat / NRI)
6:30AM UTC+5:30 India (Google people)
This looks to be the fairest time for everyone involved. Agree that 8PM is late for east coast, but it at least is a time when people are awake.
I’m open to another time suggestion that works better!

We have engineers on the East Coast who would like to be able to join as well.
5pm is a difficult time slot for them.
The two-headed meeting model used by OpenID Core might be a good alternative.

5pm PT is a pretty unworkable time for anyone except west-coasters (and APAC I suppose). Are there no east coasters participating?

I haven’t been able to join the calls for a long time given a conflict I have with the time slot. A change of timeslot would definitely be a help to me personally. I can do 8AM most days and 5pm on Mon/Tue/Thu. Not suggesting changing it for me only, but if others have a conflict I would vote for a change too.

Morteza

Subject: [Openid-specs-fastfed] FastFed WG & next meeting
Hey Everyone
I’ve been transitioning from AWS to Alexa and will be resigning as the editor of the WG. I’ll continue on as co-chair, and Darin McAdams, a fellow principle engineer from AWS will be getting much more active in FastFed.
Darin is willing to step up and take on the editor role. While Darin has not done any standards work in the past, I’ve been working with him for the past 6 months and in my opinion he has all the right skill to succeed as the editor. He has the bandwidth I don’t have, and will be working on our FastFed implementation.
If anyone has concerns or comments, feel free to post to the list, or post to my off list.
I had proposed that future meetings would be at 5PM rather than 8AM. How about we start having bi-weekly calls again starting Wednesday, March 1? Hopefully that is far enough out for people for it to fit into their schedule.
/Dick
