Hello all
OIDF Staff had a quarterly checkpoint with UK Open Banking today. It sounds likely that the FCA will issue two requests for comment in the Q1 2026 timeframe, in line with their regulatory authority and legislation earlier in 2025.
Given the longstanding strategic relationship between OIDF and Open Banking UK, there is a benefit to providing timely and consensus OIDF feedback.
There is not a rush on this, but ideally we can form a sub group to lead OIDF comments before the December holidays. Then we are well positioned to represent the FAPI WG and Ecosystem Support CG whenever the RFCs land.
Any volunteers to be a leader editor on the response? Any volunteers to be part to the subgroup?
In parallel, OIDF staff will reach out to the FCA directly this quarter as well.
For noting… any changes resulting from the RFCs may take a long period before they would come into effect, none the less we will want to be timely with the RFC process to help these key OIDF partners in their due process.
Gail
