Dear FAPI WG:
I am writing to strongly recommend Dima Postnikov for appointment as Co-Chair of the FAPI Working Group. As current Vice Chairman of the OpenID Foundation Board and Head of Identity Strategy and Architecture at ConnectID, Dima brings exceptional qualifications combining strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and extensive real-world implementation experience. His unique position overseeing Australia's national digital identity infrastructure, coupled with his previous leadership in consumer identity architecture at Australia's largest banks, provides him with an unparalleled understanding of both the technical requirements and practical challenges facing FAPI implementations globally.
Dima's technical contributions to the FAPI community have been substantial and impactful. As a long-standing FAPI Working Group member, he served as the primary author of the comprehensive Open Banking Whitepapers and has contributed significantly to multiple specifications produced by the FAPI WG. His ability to bridge complex technical concepts with practical implementation guidance is evidenced through his thoughtful technical writing, conference presentations, and active community engagement. Additionally, his experience as Co-Chair of the GAIN PoC Community Working Group demonstrates proven ability to lead technical working groups and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
His appointment would provide strategic value through seamless alignment between FAPI WG activities and Foundation-wide objectives, implementation-focused leadership grounded in real-world deployment experience, and a crucial Asia-Pacific regional perspective for global financial ecosystems. Dima's combination of board-level strategic oversight, deep technical knowledge, financial services expertise, and demonstrated commitment to the OpenID Foundation community makes him an ideal candidate to guide the FAPI Working Group through its continued evolution and global adoption.
If you have an objection, please write to the openid-specs-fapi-owner at lists.openid.net<mailto:openid-specs-fapi-owner at lists.openid.net> or to this list by July 9. Of course, explicitly writing +1 would also be very welcome.
Best regards,
Nat Sakimura
FAPI WG Co-chair
