[Openid-specs-fapi] CFPB 1033 comments opened - US/CAN subgroup volunteers

Hello FAPI WG

The comment period on the rulemaking has been opened August 22nd, link below.

There are four specific points they request comments on, that were considered insufficient (and which May subsequently resolve the court cases brought against the CFPB during last administration.)

• the proper understanding of who can serve as a “representative” making a request on behalf of the consumer;

• the optimal approach to the assessment of fees to defray the costs incurred by a “covered person” in responding to a customer driven request;

• the threat and cost-benefit pictures for data security associated with section 1033 compliance;

 • the threat picture for data privacy associated with section 1033 compliance.

I do not know if the WG will have strong view of the first two points but I think we should probably comment on the last two points.

Cochairs-

I will reactivate and check with the participants in the US /Canada Open Banking Subgroup if there are volunteers to lead edit.

On the next FAPI WG- can you see if there are people interested in joining the subgroup that will prepares the comments, and note that I am asking for volunteers interested in being lead editors of OIDF comments?

OIDF staff can add to comments and help edit at the end, but we will struggle to lead edit during the next 60 day comment period.
