It is the public consultation by JFSA that I was talking about during the
call.

Best regards,

Nat

Authentication on stock trading

Dear LC

I am attaching the Japanese Financial Service Agency's proposed
amendment on secure customer authentication to thwart the rampant phishing
attacks going on in Japanese securities companies/stock trading companies
right now. The original is Japanese, of course, but I am attaching the
DeepL translated version as well, though I do not know how good the
translation is (I have not read it.) The consultation runs until Aug. 18 in
Japanese Time.

You can find my proposed response (again translated by Deepl) below:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s8UrLcdpA3Uc46fFWvLWvx6PUti4NPCv9cYodUJU1lg/edit?usp=sharing

You can comment on it. It mentions the Share Signal Framework and the
introduction of API, which is relevant to the FAPI WG.

I am debating whether I should do it as NAT.Consulting (my own company) or
OpenID Foundation, recognising that it is a summer vacation period and we
have only one week to go. Please disregard the Headers and Footers. I just
used my template. When submitting, it has to be pasted into the web form as
text, so it will not reach JFSA anyway. IF OIDF has an appetite to do it,
that's good. Otherwise, I will do it as NAT.Consulting -- after all, it is
me and myself (at least for now). I am indifferent between the options.

Best regards,

Nat Sakimura
