Hello FAPI WG+,

F.Y.I. Note 2.6, Wallet integration
https://www.berlin-group.org/_files/ugd/c2914b_2be6e01b9e2b437090d64e3fc01d14f9.pdf#page=9

The architecture underpinning the Berlin Group openFinance API was perfect for the first generations of Open Banking.  However,  it does IMHO not fit equally well in a *fast paced market*, driven by wallets as well as by P2P payments.  In addition, the current architecture excludes third-parties from contributing to the Open Banking ecosystem.

The most well-known user of the FAPI standard, Open Banking Ltd, have yet to publish a plan with respect to wallet integration.

For a quick overview of the pros and cons of a set of possible integration options, please take a peek at: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/andersrundgren_integrating-support-for-a-payment-wallet-activity-7164916754932981760-fG3R

I would suggest one or more video-chats where this hot topic could be discussed in a constructive way.

Regards,
Anders Rundgren

PS Popular Wallet-based systems like Swish, BLIK, Bizum, TWINT, MobilePay, as well as the coming European Payment Initiative (https://epicompany.eu) do not build on Open Banking DS
