Hi List,

As you know (?) there are two variants of Request-to-Pay (R2P) schemes, currently pushed by Pay.UK respectively EPC.

Although great in theory, they effectively balkanize payment requests through proprietary messaging.

I claim that JWS-signed Web links would scale much better than R2P, while still offering comparable security.
This concept was pioneered by PayPal but this time we are talking about a decentralized system.

Web links can be provided trough e-mail, SMS, social media, QR, etc.

The scheme would be free standing and thus independent of payment method except that it must work on the Web.

Is this something of interest to OpenID?
