[Openid-specs-fapi] +1 on Plus

The historical reality is that the name "OpenID Connect" was derived from the already existing and prominent name "Facebook Connect".  (This was done with the involvement of David Recordon, who was then at Facebook.)  So people already understood what "Connect" meant.  We could say "Like Facebook Connect, but with your choice of identity provider" and people would get it.
