Hi Tom

In Europe banks are being forced to allow payment initiation by third
parties by PSD2.
I wrote this article to give an overview of what is happening in Europe and

Hopefully this helps.
Furthermore some banks have opened up APIs even before they are legally
required to, e.g. BBVA.
