This looks much more compatible with - https://openid.net/specs/openid-connect-core-1_0.html#IndividualClaimsRequests – and a cleaner solution.

Having that said it would introduce the notion of some sort of “derived claim” at the OP (some sort of virtual column in database terms - it’s not a claim in a sense that it is an attribute requested but a claim derived from a date of birth) – would one make this request ephemeral in terms of users consent to release it? I think one could argue its supported by the core spec given the asserted value is an equal match to the request is returned.

It’s definitely a nice way of solving this
