<p>I tried very hard to get this view accepted when PEv1 was
originally hardcoded, and then it changed to PEv2. I wanted it
instead to be type and value, so that any query language could be
used as indicated by the type. So your SQL example in the desert
could have easily been used by either registering (or using a
global id) for the SQL type.</p>
<p>I still think it is a very bad idea to mandate PE.</p>
