[Openid-dcp] Latest update on joint wg with ISO

Hi all

Given the progress on the joint WG topic over the last few weeks, the series of informal joint meetings have now been cancelled.

Please take note that the first formal meeting originally envisioned for 12 June 2026 (as per previous emails) has been moved to 29 June 2026, 13:00 – 16:00 UTC. This is a result of both allowing time for individuals to obtain internal approval to formally join the work, and avoiding clashes with other events (Identiverse, DICE, and others).

As far as chairs of the new group are concerned, Loffie is working on establishing a consensus position before the end of June. To this end he will be reaching out to as many of you as possible to get your input.

The new group was formally approved on 5 June 2026. Individuals that would like to participate must sign a contribution agreement. This agreement can be found here: https://openid.net/wordpress-content/uploads/2020/04/OIDF-Agreement-
Contribution-Agreement-Final-6-19-2017a.pdf. The agreement can be completed via docusign or manually.

A dedicated WG page is being set up, and I will share the link once it becomes available.

Existing OIDF contributors may not need to complete a new contribution agreement - you can verify if your existing contribution agreement covers ‘all WGs’ by checking the tabs at the bottom of https://openid.net/intellectual-property/openid-foundation-contribution-agreements/ (if you participate via a company, it will be listed under the company name) - if ‘all WGs’ is listed you do not need to complete a new agreement.
