[Openid-dcp] Invitation to Contribute to the EUDI Wallet Functional Conformance Assessment Framework (FCAF)

Dear all,

I would like to invite DCP WG Members to engage with the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) Functional Conformance Assessment Framework (FCAF).

The scope of this work is the open development of functional conformance test case definitions for the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. These are structured test case specifications (similar in concept to ISO/IEC 18013-6), not executable test code, with a strong focus on black-box testing, observable expected results, and traceability to normative requirements in relevant standards and profiles.

This work is intended to be complementary to existing conformance tooling, including the OpenID Foundation conformance suite. While the OIDF conformance suite focuses on protocol interoperability and automated conformance testing, the FCAF focuses on defining the structured test cases and assessment baseline needed for broader conformity assessment, and certification in the EUDI Wallet context.

Current submitted test coverage includes:

- OpenID4VP (selected sections)
- IETF Token Status List
- ISO/IEC 18013-5 (mdoc)
- PID-related functional test scenarios

Upcoming areas include:

- SD-JWT VC
- remaining OpenID4VP coverage
- HAIP / OpenID4VP
- ETSI TS 119 472-2 and related ETSI specifications

Given the reliance on OIDF specifications, we would particularly welcome contributions and designated reviewers from the OIDF community, especially with expertise in OpenID4VP, OpenID4VC, HAIP, and related OAuth extensions. Designated reviewers help ensure technical correctness, consistency, and implementability of the test cases.

Community contributions, issue reporting, and technical review are very welcome.
