Discussing desired features to prioritize
'pure' HPKE container approach using new response_mode #676
<https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VP/issues/676>
-
Kenichi: how do you specify you want hpke?
-
Joseph: you change the response_mode parameter
-
Kenichi: this does not JWE JSON serialization, correct?
-
Joseph: thats correct
-
Joseph: this needs quite a bit more discussion, especially how we do the
hpke info parameter. Any thoughts anybody has, please add to the ticket
First Class Server-to-Server support in VCI (requirements) #663
<https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VCI/issues/663>
-
Stefan: acronyms in diagram should be explained somewhere
General discussion
-
Martijn: server to server should have its own sessions, even if they
aren’t working group sessions
-
Joseph: cadence of WG work should slow down a bit, need to have a
discussion on reducing the number of weekly WG meetings
-
Stefan: what will be the release cadence for new versions of the specs?
6 monthly cadence?
-
Joseph: that will need to be discussed, likely whenever a group of PRs
are merged that has been decided will be a new version. Not likely to fix
to a 6 month monthly, instead will be when ready.
HAIP
Add references to Ecosystem Implementation Guidelines section #312
<https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VC-HAIP/pull/312>
-
Philip: Is this about san_dns or hash? Is the suggestion that the HAIP
profile uses x509_hash, but non-HAIP its okay to do x509_san_dns?
-
Joseph: HAIP is restricted to just x509_hash, VP has multiple options
either define or remove the term "ecosystem(s)" #318
<https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VC-HAIP/issues/318>
-
Martijn: i’m still surprised things like regulation, law, or internal
governance is included. It implies government is supposed to profile HAIP
rather than specs.
-
Joseph: the intent isn’t that this stuff is supposed to be defined in
law. Internal governance was supposed to capture non-government things like
mDL ecosystems.
-
Martijn: i don’t really like the term ecosystem. I like to keep it
undefined. I am struggling to come up with a better definition.
-
Joseph: we don’t explicitly say we are treating it as an undefined term
currently
-
Martijn: I think this is a big change rather than just editorial. I
think we should clarify the term, but we need to do it properly. I’ll try
to think of something
-
Joseph: possible outcome is that we decide to keep it undefined because
it’s too hard, we’ll have to see where the working group ends up
VCI
add credential format specific sections for IAR endpoint binding in VPs #602
<https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VCI/pull/602>
-
Needs more reviews please
