[Openid-dcp] OID4VCI Interop #2 - Initial Results

Time permitting I can offer a verbal recap of the OID4VCI interop #2 this morning.

OID4VCI Interop Session 1 – Initial Results (post the 90min Remote Call):

  *   6 issuers
     *   BDR, Fikua, OWF/MultiPaz, Lissi GmbH, Mattr, OIDF test suite as an issuer
     *   Several issuers “caught up” since the interop #1
  *   3 wallets including the
  *                   BDR, OWF/Multipaz, OIDF test suite as a wallet
  *   20 pairwise tests could be conducted, all on the Custom URI initiated path.  We observed:
     *   7 passing (35%)
     *   8 not passing but resolvable issues (40%)
        *   light triage indicated an issue that should be resolvable with asynch  offline retesting/gap closure
     *   4 failing with unknown issues after light triage (25%)
  *   Issuer feedback
     *   Implementers were very pleased with the OID4VCI test suite progress
     *   Implementers offered very useful feedback on the tests which Thomas (Cert team test developer) continues to take on board and build into tests,
     *   Good feedback on specs themselves
  *   OIDF feedback
     *   Gail: Great to see the many pairs and test suite with green lights passing, will be great to see more flip to green as we go through the week.
  *   Asks for DCP WG feedback (e.g. offline from Cochairs or in June 12 WG meeting).
     *   Joseph raised an issue on HAIP as a result of the feedback today
     *   General observation for the WG even with HAIP there are still quite a few options that can interop more complicated
     *   Of the 20 pairwise tests, 18 pairs were on SD-JWT and 2 pairs on mdoc
        *   Fewer mdoc pairs fully expected going into this interop
        *   Further guidance from ISO, and the DCP WG is expected to support implementers with their mdoc builds, and oidf test suite development
     *   Interop participants request guidance from WG on when next best target date and scope for OID4VCI Interop #3
        *   Date target? (Noting OID4VP is 6/17, several implementers in both tracks)
        *   Any WG requested scope for next one (e.g. editors draft, PRs to see closed/built to, configurations in HAIP, etc
  *   Several teams “observed” who plan to “catch up” in the next wave of interops (OID4VP and OID4VCI, but who were not quite ready for today. This reflects the wider appetite to prove out the specs at they move to final.
  *   OIDF blog post
     *   Will await results to complete after the asynch for the remainder of this week, to see if the 40% of pairs with known issues can get to “green” and pasing via asynch testing and slack, etc.
