Notes:
Oct 28th meeting at msft venue. Steve is waiting on final confirmation.
Final PRs to be raised by Tuesday next week.
VP: client_id_scheme change to prefix ( https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VP/pull/263 )
Gotten quite a few approvals and merged.
VP: Allow alternative query languages: https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VP/pull/258
As query language mostly can't make the 1.0 timeline, mandating PE for 1.0 and then in 1.1 saying PE is de facto optional if a new query language is supported. 1.1 will practically be a breaking change.
Joseph: expectation, when wallet implements 1.1, it will not support 1.0 verifier.
Continue the discussion in the PR.
VP token in a separate PR.
VCI: Key attestations https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VCI/pull/389
The previous discussion had 2 options.
Introduced new proof type. Instead of sending proof of possession, you're sending a key attestation by which the issuer can believe that this is a well-managed key.
VCI: c_nonce PR: https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VCI/pull/381#pullrequestreview-2292605172
did not know whether you needed a nonce or not in the proofs. There is an error code for that.
Discussion to be continued on the PR.
VCI: add an option to use credential_configuration_id in credential request: https://github.com/openid/OpenID4VCI/pull/392
Please weigh in on the PR.
VP & VCI: Additional IANA considerations: Complete IANA Considerations section
VP more important to get to 1.1 (March timeline proposal).
Transaction data and new query language in VP for 1.1
Verify if we can wait for 1.0 as it will be short-lived (approx. 3 months). Ask folks in the EU and decide next week.
Thanks,
Raj
