Daniel introduced this new VCI issue, which is about the ‘claims’ information in the credential metadata, explaining there’s issues if there are nested structures / potential conflicts / issues with arrays and the potential solutions.

We have consensus a fix for this issue as it didn’t seem sensible to continue with it when a breaking change was on the table.

There was some discussion about whether the array case needs to be solved, and whether the proposed solution works for CBOR formats that don’t use strings for key names.

There was some consensus that solution 1.iii solves the problems raised in the issue in the cleanest way but that implementation experience may be desirable before we make a final decision.

It was agreed that Daniel will create a PR for solution 1.iii, but probably replacing the ‘null’ syntax for arrays with -1.
