CONFIRM CO-CHAIRS
Torsten Lodderstedt and Kristina Yasunda would be prepared to be the
co-chairs of the DCP WG. No objections or other suggestions -
congratulations!
David Luna will take notes
Kristina lots of new people joining (approx 48 attendees on call), going to
describe how the SIOP WG call worked. Hasn’t been strict queue management
but may want to enforce raise hands in Zoom. We ask for someone to take
notes on each call. Notes are circulated to the mailing list after the
call. Past minutes will be available on the DCP mailing list.
https://lists.openid.net/pipermail/openid-specs-digital-credentials-protocols/
There’s also a OIDF Slack available -
https://join.slack.com/t/oidf/shared_invite/zt-20zvlgnt1-Q4dD3wG9QLTluZd0odWn~g
and the WG’s channel - #wg-dcp
Nat Sakimura How should the Slack be used?
Joseph Slack should be used to broadcast information about meetings - same
as other WGs - not for discussions.
DISCUSS WHICH DRAFTS ARE IN SCOPE
Torsten 7 drafts in total
3 core drafts - OID4VP, OID4VCI, SIOPv2 will stay within the current
Connect WG due to IP for the moment (“as long as it is needed”).
Additional drafts -
OID4VC High Assurance Interoperability Profile with SD-JWT VC - currently
in GitHub
OID4VP over BLE
OpenID Connect UserInfo Verifiable Credentials
Security and Trust in OpenID for Verifiable Credentials - currently in
GitHub
Considering proposing those 4 drafts for adoption by this WG.
Consequences of this is that folks will work across both DCP and Connect WG
for the moment on these various specs.
Kristina it’s really hard to move due to the overhead of getting everyone
to sign new agreements to move the core drafts over to DCP WG.
SETTLE ON CALL SCHEDULE
Torsten Keep SIOP slot call slot and use it as both SIOP and DCP WG call.
Want to be really clear regarding Intellectual Property. These calls will
be dynamic, and may involve a fair amount of context switching. People
wanting to attend these calls need to sign the IPR agreement in order to
contribute - for Connect and DCP WGs at minimum, or otherwise for all
working groups.
Kristina Joining is important, and while individual contributors are
welcome joining via your org is better as it helps grow. By joining you get
voting rights, which are very important.
https://openid.net/foundation/benefits-members/
Torsten Would people be interested in a time slot that’s more friendly for
other timezones (APAC)?
Paul Templeman yes
Thomas Robin yes
Nat yes
Kaliya Identity Woman people on this call have a bias as those in other
timezones may not be on this call
Kristina - next week we’ll continue to use the SIOP timeslot (the time
currently shifts by one hour every two weeks) - next week will be 8AM
Pacific, 5PM CET. We will put the question on the APAC timezone into the
mailing list.
Which Zoom URL to use? Ideally we’d use the current Zoom URL and asking
people to migrate will be painful.
Torsten Changing the name of the existing slot in the calendar is the
simplest way?
George Fletcher I use the link in the calendar entry. So it’s easier if
that’s just correct.
Mike Leszcz will the name change on both SIOP meeting instances (this
current time, and the ‘Atlantic 2’ time) to SIOP / DCP?
Kristina We don’t have clarity yet on when we’ll have the APAC calls, but
let’s change both the SIOP calls, and on top of that add APAC calls.
Mike Agreed to update the calendar invites.
Anyone can join the mailing list, but you need to sign the IPR Contribution
agreement so you can write to it).

MIGRATION TO GITHUB
Joseph Heenan presents. There will be new repos under OIDF GitHub. Actions
will be used, similar to current BitBucket pipelines (e.g. building pages
and publishing them). Current data from BB (commits, etc.) additionally, OPEN
issues and comments will be imported. Active contributors will be invited
to each repo, and the process will end by closing the open issues in BB.
Nat please ensure issues from GH are also sent to the mailing list.
Torsten so we’re GH only from next week?
Kristina yes. Please don’t touch OID4VC issues in BB, they are being moved
Friday morning UK time, updates to issues during the migration won’t be
copied, so just hold on. PRs are not being copied over, only issues.
PRs that probably have to be re-opened: 612, (455), 608, 487, 587, 578,
(360), (434), (515)
and maybe 570, 590
Tom Jones is there a link?
Kristina Not yet - the migration will happen shortly and will be
communicated then.
Tom it will be on GitHub/openid
Kristina yes in the OpenID Foundation GitHub
Brian Campbell issues will be closed in BB as they get migrated?
Torsten yes, and they will have a link to the new issue on GitHub
Mike Jones may just be a link to the repo, not to the actual issue
POSSIBILITY OF A FACE-TO-FACE MEETING
Torsten Are there folks in favour of a F2F WG meeting on the Monday before
IIW 0900-1200?
Mike L OIDF is hosting a workshop that afternoon at a Cisco location. We’ll
need to use Webex for that meeting if we want it to be an active WG call
https://openid.net/registration-workshop-october-9-2023/ if it’s at the
same location as the workshop
Torsten how many will people be interested in attending? (10 thumbsup)
Brian I would like to join remote (2 thumbsup)
Gail Hodges OIDF Workshop is 1230-1545 on the same day
Kaliya Open Wallet Foundation (OWF) is having a workshop in the morning of
the Monday (aimed to avoid the OIDF Workshop) 0900-1200, so there will be a
collision. Suggests the WG meets after the workshop to avoid collision.
Torsten That’s a problem!
Mike L we have two spaces at Cisco all day - a meeting room (20 ppl) and a
larger auditorium (75 ppl)
Kristina For now let’s keep it morning WG afternoon workshop
Torsten, Kristina and Kaliya will figure it out and make announcements
OTHER TOPICS
Nander Stabel will core specs be renamed e.g. OID4VCI to OID4DPI?
Mike J we should not change the name, we lose brand equity
Kristina The current name can be inferred as being about W3C Verifiable
Credentials only
Torsten We don’t need to decide this now. Discuss on the issue.
https://bitbucket.org/openid/connect/issues/1915/verifiable-credentials-causes-people-to
Kristina Can give an overview of the new drafts that will be shared on the
mailing list.
SasiKumar Ganesan Introduction to OpenID for Verifiable PResentations over
BLE. This supports the many use-cases where connectivity is limited or
prohibitively expensive. Has been implemented in iOS and Android, and the
code is being contributed to OWF.
