David Recordon, Allen Tom, and I just got off the specs council call that we had. While our call didn't represent a quorum of the specs council, we agreed upon these points:
* All the proposed working groups should proceed to be formed.
* We encourage all the working groups to work together towards as a seamless a whole as possible.
* There's a growing recognition that there’s substantial commonality in the mechanisms behind the artifact binding, the connect proposal, and the possible evolution of the hybrid specification.
* We encourage people to join the working groups and do the actual work, including implementations.

I think we’ve had enough time to consider the new proposals, and that all the proposed WGs should be formed.

First, unless anyone voices an objection to Breno filling the remaining slot, the specs council now consists of:
Johnny Bufu
Dick Hardt
Mike Jones
Breno de Medeiros
David Recordon
Nat Sakimura

Second, I believe that this is the status of existing specification proposals:
Connect: Proposed Fri, May 21. Will be automatically approved on Sat, Jun 5.
I asked a number of questions about Connect that I have not yet seen responses to. I think the issues need to be addressed or the proposal withdrawn.
Discovery: Proposed Fri, May 21. Will be automatically approved on Sat, Jun 5.
Core: Proposed Mon, May 24. Will be automatically approved on Tue, Jun 8.
Attributes: Proposed Tue, May 25. Will be automatically approved on Wed, Jun 9.
Therefore, if we’re going to provide any input to the Connect and Discovery working groups before they’re automatically approved after 15 days of inaction on our part, we need to do it today.
We can also do it over email!
Does anyone have concerns with Discovery, Core and Attributes? David had mentioned that some used the OpenID term and some did not have enough proposers. I think all those issues have now been addressed.
