<p class="MsoNormal">The OpenID Connect mailing list has been inactive about a year, with its intended work being replaced by the
<a href="http://openid.net/connect/">OpenID Connect</a> specs that have been developed by members of the
<a href="http://lists.openid.net/mailman/listinfo/openid-specs-ab">OpenID Specs AB list</a> and are
<a href="http://openid.net/2011/12/23/review-of-proposed-openid-connect-implementer%e2%80%99s-drafts/">
now undergoing review as proposed Implementer’s Drafts</a>. In effect, the AB working group has become the Connect working group in practice, especially after
<a href="http://lists.openid.net/pipermail/openid-board/2011-June/005180.html">the OpenID Board’s decision to brand the resulting specs “OpenID Connect”</a>.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This note is being sent to inform the membership of this list of
<a href="http://lists.openid.net/pipermail/openid-board/2011-February/005120.html">
the OpenID Board’s decision to request closure of inactive working groups</a> to avoid having the existence of these inactive working groups confuse people. Unless a majority of the working group membership believes that the Connect mailing list needs to remain
in existence, this list will be retired in two weeks.<o:p></o:p></p>
