Authzen Interop participants
It has come to my attention that some AuthZen interop participants for the London Gartner event have not yet signed the OIDF contribution agreement.
This contribution agreement requires no fees or OIDF membership agreement, but it is vital to project the OIDF IP and ensure a safe space for all interop participants and WG members to conduct your work on the specs and “test the tests.”
Sincere apologies for the short notice. It had simply not occurred to the staff that some interop participants might not have signed the contribution agreement. Unfortunately it still means that any of you that have not signed a contribution agreement will need to close this gap swiftly.
Check this link to confirm your company has a contribution agreement for the AuthZen WG https://openid.net/intellectual-property/openid-foundation-contribution-agreements/ there is an alphabetical list at the end of the page.
- If Yes and the Authzent WG is named or “All WG” is named - no further action you are covered
- If yes, but AuthZen WG is not named, just email OIDF at help at oidf.org to inform us you want the contribution agreement to extend to covering the Authzen WG. Your OiDF representative should make the ask, but we can help close the loop with that person if needed.
- If no agreement exists, you can click the link to sign the contribution agreement with docusign right away, or you can download the form for review by your legal council and executives. For noting, hundreds of signatories have signed the same terms, and the terms are not negotiable. The terms are consistent with other World Trade Organization best practices and SDO IP protections to ensure the OODF standards produced are open and freely available.
Gareth will be cross checking with the participating teams to make sure they are all signed this week ASAP. If you have not signed by Friday your participation in the event next week is at risk.
If your team has a material issue with signing this week, please contact me and Gareth promptly with a description of the issue blocking your signature.
Again apologies for the last minute legal process, but I am sure you share our interest to protect the foundation and all your good work. I hope we can tidy this swiftly and continue at pace with the last minute build and presentation touches for next week!
