Hello, from the latest proposals I understand that OID (openid) has been added again C (Connect), for me it is ok because it makes it more understandable.

Regarding the term User Controlled, thinking about the traditional identity federations I find this concept also in SAML2/OIDC, where there is an explicit consent of the user to the release of their attributes, to confirm that even without the SSI paradigm user control has always been central. In some IDP implementations also the selective disclosure on the optional claims is present, in the Consent Web Page.

Surely SIOPv2 and EUDI wallet introduce different and certainly more advanced features on the privacy profile, reconfirming the requirement of control by the user, which is therefore not a novelty in the strict sense and which exalts the possession and the processes of acquisition and release of the attributes.

Anyway, I feel that the choices are narrowing down to:

- OIDC4SSI

- OIDC4UC
here also I'd prefer UCI to UC only, or UCID which is user controlled identity, OIDC4UCID. And if you’ll allow me one possible and uncomfortable, at this point, creativity, we could play with letters and get
OIDC4OCID that stands for OpenID Connect for Owner Controlled IDentity. The game, which would arouse the reader’s curiosity is that the two acronyms separated by the number 4 are composed of the same letters. The concept of Owner would like to resume that of "Resource Owner" as from literature

- OIDC4DI (which however remains relevant given the significance that "Decentralised" has in relation to the new features introduced in the OIDC ecosystem)

Il giorno mar 19 apr 2022 alle ore 13:14 David Chadwick via Openid-specs-ab <openid-specs-ab@lists.openid.net> ha scritto:
