
<html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- DIV {margin:0px;} --></style></head><body><div style="font-family:tahoma,new york,times,serif;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"><span>While trying to close issue #52 ( <a target="_blank" href="https://bitbucket.org/openid/connect/issue/52/messages-34-check-session-endpoint">https://bitbucket.org/openid/connect/issue/52/messages-34-check-session-endpoint</a> ) in the Issue Tracker, the working group finds the Check Session Endpoint has nothing to do with checking the session.</span><br><br>Since the endpoint only checks the signature and returns the unpacked ID Token, the working group has decided to rename the Check Session Endpoint to the Check ID Endpoint. The Check Session Endpoint will also be dropped from the Session Management spec. The Check ID Endpoint will be part of the Messages/Standard/Basic specs.<br><br>-- Edmund<br><br>
