+1 to “front channel” and “back channel”

I agree “HTTP-Based” is inappropriate.

Since both front-chanel logout spec and session management spec use iFrame, it can be confusing as nature,
but I don’t think the name “iFrame-Based Logout” increase the confusion so much.

ps.
Personally, I prefer “Front-channel Logout” as the pair spec with “Back-channel Logout”.

“iFrame Based Logout” more closely resembles Session Management – since Session Management requires an OP iframe to be loaded in every RP page. We’ll cause more confusion that we’ll alleviate if we use that name.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t come up with a better name – we should. But that that “iFrame Based Logout” isn’t that better name.

Hi.

The HTML Based logout spec title is currently
"HTTP-Based Logout<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3a%2f%2fopenid.bitbucket.org%2fopenid-connect-logout-1_0.html&data=01%7c01%7cMichael.Jones%40microsoft.com%7c20bdd6e5408d489d93ee08d2cddf2003%7c72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7c1&sdata=dXEqx4dhKWdQK8%2b1SsbYTmodM0%2fwqZA3Ng9k3Z4f%2fmQ%3d> "

As far as I understand, both the back-channel and this spec are "HTTP-Based".
Session management also is ultimately HTTP-Based.
So, naming it as "HTTP-Based Logout" seems to be inappropriate.
I would rather call it as "iFrame Based Logout" or something like that.

What do you guys thing.
