Spec Call Notes 14-Oct-24
Aaron Parecki
Mike Jones
Nat Sakimura
Tom Jones
Sam Goto
Nat brought up adoption of the Federation Wallet spec
Giuseppe updated the spec to address the additional feedback that had come in
See the current version at https://peppelinux.github.io/federation-wallet/main.html
Giuseppe asked Joseph and Brian for early reviews before contributing it again
Joseph responded positively; Brian hasn't responded yet
We decided to wait a week for Brian's review and then contribute it if none is received
Mike brought up adoption of the RP Metadata Choices spec
It was contributed two weeks ago
https://lists.openid.net/pipermail/openid-specs-ab/2024-September/010447.html
In discussion since that, it was agreed that we need to clarify that multiple choices are not to be used in DCR responses
On the call, we discussed that it would be fine to do this after adoption
Nat plans to send a call for adoption later today
OpenID4VP Implementer's Draft
The plan has changed to create an Implementer's Draft of OpenID4VP in December
Rather than a final 1.0 specification
This will allow us to add a new query language and gain implementation experience with it
Before taking the specification to Final status
Tom has a different new query language proposal
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n7HobJ6QTsNld5rn1uuIiNw0A__L44ug/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=109794657323597753486&rtpof=true&sd=true
Sam reacted that there are merits to defining the query language separately from the protocol
Tom said that the scope is wallet selection - not credential selection
It's being discussed at Kantara
There were no new issues at https://lists.openid.net/pipermail/openid-specs-ab/2024-September/010447.html
