This is a ticket to track the necessary editorial changes for the discussed “metadata statement” term. Previously we used “metadata assertion” \(informally\).

The “metadata” claim definition should also clarify that SS “metadata” overwrites “EC” metadata.

The spec may also benefit from a short sections comparing metadata statements and metadata\_policy.
