Unless they are in the opt section, the latter one should be labelled \(4\). 

BTW, if I remember correctly, we are no longer bound to text format figures. Perhaps we can consider using prettier ones using WebSequenceDiagram or a similar one. That would make it easier to read as well as easier to maintain.
