An updated version of the OpenID Connect Back-Channel Logout specification was published at https://openid.net/specs/openid-connect-backchannel-1_0.html and https://openid.net/specs/openid-connect-backchannel-1_0-09.html.

This revision addresses https://bitbucket.org/openid/connect/issues/1605  by specifying how to handle failed requests, using the same language as RFC 8935 (Push-Based Security Event Token (SET) Delivery Using HTTP).  This was fixed by https://bitbucket.org/openid/connect/pull-requests/290.  Thanks to Erik Tesar, Joseph Heenan, Filip Skokan, and Vladimir Dzhuvinov for reviewing the change.
