AAMVA has I believe 50 of the US states drivers license validation, so they work in conjunction with each of the states that they are contracted to issue the physical license, this also means that they have a process in place (actually several processes) in place to proof the applicant

I’m trying to understand the process. I assume the client sends a set of data to a AAMVA via an API. Does AAMVA look that data up in databases containing the data of state issued identity documents?
