Spec call notes 24-Feb-14
Mike Jones
Nat Sakimura
Edmund Jay
Brian Campbell
Agenda:
Connect Launch
Open Issues
Meeting in San Francisco Thursday Morning
Meeting before IETF 89 in London
Connect Launch:
The vote is over quorum and there are no objections to it passing
We did post the FAQ
We are going to wait to post any announcements until Wednesday morning
Mike will prepare the final drafts and check them into bitbucket today
They will be posted to openid.net after the vote is done
We are leaving in the warning about the Google "iss" at http://openid.net/specs/openid-connect-core-1_0.html#GoogleIss
Google isn't ready to make the change or commit to making it
Questions about the launch:
Is the press release the content going on the OpenID blog?
Who is posting that when?
Are they collecting pointers to statements made about the launch and posting them?
What meetings are we having around the launch, such as press briefings?
We should add to the FAQ that individuals can have their own IdPs
Mike will do this
Open Issues:
#919 - wrong description about "website#de"
This new issue was filed by Nov
Nat closed this because the text is actually correct, if perhaps harder to read than it needs to be
#915 - Computation of OP session_state in the IdP requires origin URI
Todd Lainhart supplied proposed text
This seems mostly fine, although the new Section 3 text may be overly prescriptive
The "and is composed of" is probably be too strong
The client_id, a space, and the session state are concatenated, per issue #917
We will review it in person on Thursday
Meeting in San Francisco Thursday Morning:
We will meet in person 9-noon at ForgeRock
15 Floor, 33 New Montgomery St, San Francisco 94105
This is close to Moscone Center
Topics will include:
Session Management
Transition from OpenID 2.0
Meeting before IETF 89 in London:
