Spec call notes 6-Jun-13

Mike Jones
Justin Richer
William Kim (Mitre observer)
Brian Campbell
Roland Hedberg
George Fletcher
Edmund Jay

Agenda:
Tim Bray's proposed note to the IETF
               JOSE Issue #23
               Interop
               JOSE Call on Monday
               Open Issues

Tim Bray's proposed note to the IETF:
Mike will propose an updated draft
Would be sent to the chairs and area directors
We agree for him to unofficially circulate to IETF insiders for review
We will wait on feedback from that before deciding to send it to the chairs and area directors or not
We should point out that JOSE has missed its schedule by more than a year

JOSE Issue #23:
People spoke up against the unnecessary breaking change that provides no actual value
It seems to have been averted

Interop:
Pam and Mike created the I5 interop infrastructure
Mike plans to turn it on and announce it today
Mitre has a new endpoint on Justin's home server
Eventually the Mitre code will be hosted by MIT
We will point to Google's real endpoint
Roland will send a note to the list saying what appears to be working and not
Often what is broken is simple things like "kty", registration names, etc.

JOSE Call on Monday:
It would be good if people could participate in the 10am Pacific Monday WebEx call

Open Issues:
               No new issues

OAuth Dynamic Registration:
Draft -12 was published last week
If people review the changes and agree with them, +1s would be helpful
We should plan to do a full diff between the OAuth and Connect registration specs
Mike had caught one significant bug by eyeballing diffs, and there may be more
