[Marketing] [OpenID] Website Being Updated Today

David, Scott:

While I really like almost everything about the new look and feel and
content, there's one area where I'm worried about the political position
that it takes. http://openid.net/get/ clearly recommends a set of OpenID
providers just by being listed there. And leaves out others simply by not
being listed there. For example, none of the XDI.org-Accredited I-Brokers
that offer i-names (free or paid) are listed there, nor is there even a
reference to the XDI.org directory of i-brokers at
http://www.inames.net/register.html.

As much as we want to make it easy for visitors to obtain an OpenID simply
and easily, my concern is the community taking any position at all with
regard to listing OpenID providers or i-brokers, rather than simply offering
pointers to well known directories or public resources for discovering them.

I know it's not an easy problem to solve, but now that there's a "there
there", it's easier to discuss the tradeoffs.

Hey David, Scott, Vidoop team--

Thanks for all your great efforts today. Fabulous work!

Are there particular things you'd like people to look at first or pay extra
attention to? Are you actually planning on doing more right away -
tomorrow, for example?

cheers,
-bill
