Thanks everyone for these strong, helpful comments. While it is certain
that the guidance of an attorney(ies) is entirely necessary, it is not always
the case that lawyers are in the best position to give the most judicious
advice on how to formulate well balanced policies and guidelines that both well
protect a trademark and support extensive appropriate use. Hence there is
real value to be found, it seems to me, in having a TM committee that includes
OpenID community members with many diverse perspectives.<br>
