Was touted, if I recall, as a user-centric play that would “liberate the citizens so they could participate in their government”. Within 5 years, the indoctrination process had completed of course, with such as openid flows becoming just another acquisition targeting method, given suitable protocol design that facilitated tracking and tracing, centralized vendor control, and dutiful cloud vendors.</div><div> </div><div>Its quite interesting (To me) to contrast openid’s trajectory with what happened in the 2nd year of the CAs (when the same happened to that industry, too).
