I could not find any way to use any of my Google accounts to log into my existing Flickr account -- I only see where I can create a new Flickr account with a Google account.<div><br></div><div>While it is nice to see progress -- IMHO we are a LONG ways from solving identity from the user's point of view -- and that leads to my concern -- although it was alot of work to get this done -- I would be surprised if your average user would consider this an improvement -- and may lead to more confusion as they become uncertain as to which provider they have used at which site.</div>

<div>As Naveen mentioned, I've recently left Yahoo, but the Yahoo OpenID team is in really good hands. Yahoo has publicly said that they want to make it easier for users to authenticate using identities that they already have, so I expect to see lots of really interesting things coming out of Yahoo in the future.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Not everyone knows this, but my original prototype of Yahoo OpenID that I built 3 years ago showed how users could log into Flickr using OpenID. It worked great with AOL, LiveJournal, and MyOpenID - which where the the big OPs at the time. I always thought that it made a lot of sense for sites with user generated content and active communities (like Flickr, and many other Yahoo properties) to be RPs - since lowering the barrier to participate in a community (such as posting a comment on a Flickr photo) is essential to acquiring new users.</div>
<div><br></div><div>So I'm really happy to see that what I originally had in mind for OpenID at Yahoo is finally in production - and I hope to see support for 3rd party logins on other Yahoo properties and support for other IdPs in the future.</div>

Indeed, and kudos to Yahoo! - but speaking of Yahoo, your account (atom) at (@) Yahoo! corporate (<a href="http://yahoo-inc.com" target="_blank">yahoo-inc.com</a>) doesn't work anymore. I'd assumed you had something to do with the change, but were you working from Yahoo!'s end, Google's, both?<br>
