It also doesn't show up on the screen alongside the <i>choice</i> to use Live ID. It only shows up after you've picked Live ID. In my personal opinion, one of OpenID’s major benefits for website owners is that they can implement a single interface (OpenID) that can give users different authentication options, including multi-factor auth, or an Information Card. It’s very likely that having the user sign into an RP using an account that they already have and frequently use, is both more secure and more usable than having the user register and login using a local userid and password.<br>
